Preparing your entry? GIMA is a global programme celebrating creator-led work from across EMEA, the Americas, APAC and beyond.

Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions on eligibility, deadlines, judging and submission to help you put forward your strongest work.

Before entering, please take a moment to review the Rules of Entry, which outline the official terms and eligibility requirements. For detailed guidance on how to structure your submission, the Entry Kit is your best starting point.

Entry & Eligibility

Confirm that your work meets the eligibility criteria and that all partners are aligned before submitting. This section outlines who can enter, what qualifies and how crediting should be handled.

Who can enter?

GIMA is open to brands, retailers, agencies, platforms, technology providers and creators working within influencer and creator-led marketing.

Entries may be submitted by any authorised representative of the work, provided all partners involved have granted permission for submission and public recognition if shortlisted or awarded.

What is the eligibility period?

Campaigns must have been active within the published eligibility window. Work that began before the eligibility period may still qualify if it was active and delivered measurable results within the qualifying dates.

Please refer to the Key Dates & Fees page for the current eligibility timeline.

Does my campaign need to start and finish within the eligibility period?

No. Campaigns do not need to both start and finish within the eligibility window.

Campaigns may have launched before the eligibility period and may continue beyond it. However, the results and impact submitted for judging must fall within the published qualifying dates. Judges will assess performance based solely on measurable outcomes achieved during that period.

For ongoing or long-running campaigns, earlier context may be included for clarity. Scoring will focus exclusively on results delivered between 1 January 2025 and 29 April 2026.

Can I enter work that ran in multiple regions?

Yes. Global, multi-market and regional campaigns are eligible, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. When entering, clearly specify the geographic scope and provide performance data relevant to the markets included.

Can brands and agencies both be credited?

Yes. All relevant partners should be credited accurately at the point of submission. The lead entrant is responsible for securing permission from clients, creators and collaborators prior to submission.

Accurate crediting ensures proper recognition at shortlist and winner stages.

Can I enter the same campaign into multiple categories?

Yes. Many campaigns legitimately span multiple segments. However, each entry must be tailored to the specific criteria of the category entered.

Submitting identical responses across categories is not recommended and may weaken your scoring.

Can I re-enter a campaign from a previous year?

Yes, provided the campaign falls within the current eligibility window. If the work has been entered previously, your submission should include new performance data, meaningful developments or additional impact achieved within the qualifying dates.

Choosing the Right Category

Choosing the right category is critical. Enter where your evidence is strongest and where your campaign’s primary achievement is most clearly demonstrated within the scoring framework.

How do I choose the right category?

Begin by identifying the strongest proof within your campaign. Judges score against defined criteria within each segment, so select the category where your evidence is most compelling.

If your work is culturally disruptive, it may belong in Creative & Cultural Excellence. If it is commercially transformative with clear ROI, Commercial Impact & Performance may be more appropriate.

Always choose the category that best reflects the campaign’s primary achievement.

What if my campaign fits multiple segments?

You may enter multiple categories where appropriate. Each submission should be adapted to address the specific scoring framework of that segment.

For example, a campaign entered into both Commercial Impact & Performance and Innovation & Future should emphasise different aspects of the work in each submission.

What matters most to judges in each segment?

While weightings vary by segment, judges consistently reward:

  • Clear objectives

  • Strong strategic insight

  • High-quality execution

  • Measurable and verifiable results

  • Transparent data

Clarity and credibility are valued over volume of information.

Submission Process

The submission process is structured and criteria-led. Review the Entry Kit before starting to ensure your responses and supporting materials are fully aligned.

How do I submit an entry?

All entries must be submitted via the official awards platform (evalato) –  You will select your category, complete written responses aligned to the criteria, and upload required supporting materials.

We recommend drafting your responses offline and reviewing the Entry Kit before beginning your submission.

Can I save and edit my entry?

Yes. Draft entries can be saved and edited at any time before final submission. You may return to your entry as needed during the submission period.

Can I edit after submission?

Once submitted, entries are locked to protect judging integrity. If a correction is required due to error, contact the awards team immediately. Amendments are not guaranteed and are subject to approval.

What supporting materials are required?

All non-People & Team categories require a Campaign Snapshot image. This visual asset helps judges quickly understand your campaign and supports ceremony production if shortlisted.

Additional materials may include video creative, case study content or evidence files depending on category requirements.

What is the Campaign Snapshot used for?

The Campaign Snapshot supports judging clarity and is used publicly if your work is shortlisted, including website, social and ceremony production.

Ensure all permissions are secured prior to submission.

Do I need to submit a video?

Video creatives (circa 15 seconds) may be required for ceremony production or winner assets. Exact specifications and format guidance are outlined in the Entry Kit.

Can I withdraw an entry?

Entries may be withdrawn within the stated withdrawal window. Entry fees are non-refundable once submitted.

Fees & Payment

Entry fees are tiered by deadline and must be paid in full before judging. This section outlines pricing, invoicing and key payment terms.

How much does it cost to enter?

Entry fees are structured across Early, Standard and Final tiers. We encourage early submission to benefit from lower pricing and allow time for review.

Current pricing is published on the Key Dates & Fees page.

Can I secure a lower tier by submitting early?

The applicable tier is determined by both submission and payment date. Payment must be received within the relevant pricing window to qualify for that tier.

Can I pay by invoice?

Yes. Invoice payment is available for brands and agencies requiring purchase order processing.

Please contact the awards team in advance to arrange this.

When must payment be made?

Entries will not proceed to judging unless payment has been received in full prior to the judging stage.

Are entry fees refundable?

No. Entry fees are non-refundable once an entry has been submitted.

After You Enter

Once submitted, your entry moves into judging and shortlist review. This section explains what to expect next and how shortlisted work is promoted.

When is the shortlist announced?

Shortlist dates are published on the Key Dates & Fees page and communicated via email to all entrants.

What happens if I’m shortlisted?

Shortlisted entrants may be asked to provide additional production materials. Shortlisted work will be promoted across official GIMA channels.

Will my work be made public?

If shortlisted or awarded your Campaign Snapshot and executive summary may be used publicly.

Please ensure all necessary permissions and usage rights are secured before submission.

What is the Shortlist Brunch?

The Shortlist Brunch is an invitation-only gathering at Soho House, London celebrating shortlisted work ahead of the awards ceremony. It offers shortlisted entrants the opportunity to connect with peers, judges and partners in a more informal setting.

Further details, including dates and location, will be shared directly with shortlisted entrants.

Judging & Confidentiality

All entries are assessed independently by senior industry leaders against a structured scoring framework. The FAQs below explain how judging works, how confidentiality is protected and what judges value most.

How are entries judged?

Entries are reviewed by an independent panel of senior professionals representing brands, agencies and platforms.

Each category follows a structured scoring framework aligned to its segment. Judges assess strategic rigour, execution quality, clarity of narrative and measurable impact.

Can I apply or nominate someone to judge?

Yes. We welcome applications and nominations from experienced industry leaders with hands-on involvement in creator and influencer-led marketing.

To apply or nominate a judge, complete the Judge Nomination / Application form.

How are conflicts of interest managed?

Judges are required to declare any conflicts of interest before scoring begins. They are not permitted to score entries where a commercial or personal conflict exists.

Where necessary, entries are reassigned to ensure independent evaluation.

Are entries confidential?

Yes. Judges are bound by confidentiality. All sections are judges eyes only except your executive summary and campaign snapshot.

Can I use AI to help write my entry?

Yes. AI may be used as a drafting or editing tool. However, its use must be declared where prompted, and all claims must remain accurate, truthful and verifiable.

What makes a strong entry?

Strong entries are:

  • Clear and concise

  • Strategically grounded

  • Supported by measurable evidence

  • Aligned precisely to the category criteria

  • Free from unnecessary jargon

Judges value clarity over complexity.
