Rahat Bakers and Sweets: Message in a Mithai Box

The Challenge
The campaign needed to reach Pakistani women at a culturally significant moment and deliver meaningful legal information about their rights within marriage, while navigating a deeply sensitive cultural landscape in which direct advocacy risked backlash or disengagement.
The Strategy
The collaboration brought together Rahat Bakers, the Center for Human Rights, matrimonial platform Dil Ka Rishta, and a diverse coalition of influencers spanning religious leaders, entertainers, and community voices. Each partner played a specific and essential role, with the collective strength of the coalition providing the credibility, reach, and cultural legitimacy the campaign needed to succeed.
The Work
The decision to embed legal information within wedding sweet boxes was both strategically brilliant and practically effective, meeting women at a moment of celebration rather than confrontation. Every choice from the influencer mix to the partner selection to the placement of the QR codes was calibrated to the specific cultural environment, demonstrating a depth of planning that was evident at every level of execution.
Results
The campaign generated 103 million impressions, provided legal support to over 50 women including a child bride, and contributed to a historic Supreme Court verdict on women's Nikkahnama rights.
The Judges' Verdict
“ the beneficiary testimonials alone as among the most impactful things they had encountered in their judging. The precision of the collaboration, the bravery of the strategic decisions, and the extraordinary real-world outcomes combined to make this not just the most effective collaboration of the year but one of the most significant pieces of work the industry has produced. A quiet revolution, and an easy choice.”
