NO REGERETS: Turning TikTok Comments into the Campaign Through Audience Participation at Scale

The Challenge
In the Nordics, tattoo culture is widespread yet conversations regarding tattoo regret remain largely unspoken. La Roche-Posay aimed to move beyond standard visibility to foster genuine, active consumer dialogue across social channels.
The Strategy
Cure Media recognised that modern TikTok engagement thrives within comment threads. Rather than treating interaction as a campaign byproduct, the team framed audience participation as the core creative concept, making the community integral to the message.
Execution and Innovation
Creators initiated candid discussions by sharing personal tattoo regrets. Using TikTok’s photo-in-comment feature, they invited followers to submit their own stories and images, empowering the audience to co-create and build the campaign narrative actively.
Results
The campaign secured the Grand Prix for innovative community participation, generating 39.3 million views, 1.09 million total engagements, and over 5,000 user comments, while delivering 39% of La Roche-Posay’s annual Nordic engagement in just six weeks.
Judges' Verdict
"An outstanding example of audience-first thinking. Rather than treating engagement as an outcome, the campaign made participation the core creative idea."
