NO REGERETS: Turning TikTok Comments into the Campaign Through Audience Participation at Scale

The Challenge
Tattoo regret remains a taboo topic, making it difficult for skincare brands to address authentically. Operating within a competitive Nordic market, La Roche-Posay needed to overcome social stigma surrounding tattoo regret, break through digital noise, and build genuine engagement across the region.
The Strategy
Recognising that TikTok's most meaningful conversations occur within the comment section, Cure Media built a campaign centred on active audience participation. Rather than treating comments as a secondary metric, the strategy placed user interaction at the core, turning the comment thread into a community-led content gallery.
Execution and Innovation
Creators initiated open dialogue by sharing their own tattoo regrets and encouraging followers to post their own stories. By leveraging TikTok's photo-in-comment feature, creators invited their audiences to submit photos of their tattoo mishaps directly into the comment feed, empowering the community to build the campaign narrative organically over six weeks.
Results
The initiative achieved outstanding performance metrics across the Nordic region, generating 39.3 million views, over 1.09 million total engagements, and more than 5,000 user-generated comments. The campaign exceeded target expectations by 380 per cent and successfully delivered nearly 40 per cent of La Roche-Posay's total annual engagement across the region.
Judges' Verdict
"The combination of strategic insight, innovative execution and measurable business impact makes this a benchmark example of engagement-driven creator marketing."
